About Us

The Florida Association for Food Protection (FAFP) is one of the oldest Affiliates of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP). Members of FAFP represent a broad spectrum of Food Industry, Government and Academic professionals dedicated to ensuring a safe food supply. The Mission of FAFP is to provide these professionals with a forum to exchange information on protecting the food supply.

FAFP sponsors a number of educational luncheons to cover hot topics and key issues throughout the state of Florida that cater to a broad range of attendees. Our Annual Educational Conference has become one of the leading local meetings, attracting attendees from our diverse membership including those engaged in quality control, food processing, regulatory and private inspections, consulting groups, risk assessment, research and development, technical services and HACCP.

FAFP also values its interaction with Students of Food Safety from a number of Florida Colleges. We offer students reduced membership rates, opportunities to present research, job postings and two annual scholarships.
